HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GET IN A VEHICLE?
The process can take up to 7 days, however the process in-part depends on how quickly you provide the relevant documentation and insurance policy. We endeavour to get you on rent as quickly as possible.
HOW MUCH IS THE DEPOSIT?
A deposit of £750 or a sum equivalent to one month's rental charge including VAT (whichever is the greater amount) will be taken in advance of the pickup date via a call to the MySwitch team.
MySwitch Insurance coverage has a minimum £1250 deposit requirement (which is equal to the excess responsibility) OR will be superseded by month's rental charge including VAT if the total amount is greater.
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER MY INITIAL RENTAL TERM?
Your contract will become a rolling monthly contract which is ongoing until you advise us you no longer need a vehicle from us.
After your initial chosen term of 1, 2, or 3 months, your contract will renew on a monthly basis until you give notice that you no longer require a vehicle. For hires of three months or more we may need to change your vehicle over once it reaches an agreed mileage or age and we will contact you to arrange to swap you into a newer, low mileage vehicle within 5 working days.
HOW WILL I MAKE MY MONTHLY PAYMENTS?
Each month your renting branch will be in touch to request a monthly mileage update and remind you that the monthly rollover will be processed on the card details we hold on file.
CAN I ADD ADDITIONAL DRIVERS?
Yes as long as you provide us a picture of their driving licence and a DVLA check code, and they don't have any endorsements that don't meet our standards. You must also include additional drivers on your insurance policy and have this approved.
DO YOU PROVIDE INSURANCE?
Not yet! We require the renter to insure the vehicle themselves on a fully comprehensive policy that meets our terms.

WHEN WILL MY DEPOSIT BE REFUNDED?
Your deposit refund will be issued 7-10 days after the vehicle is returned, provided there are no outstanding balances against the rental. This includes, but is not limited to: unpaid rental fees, fines and penalties, outstanding admin fees, and damages.
CAN I APPLY FOR A SECOND VEHICLE?
Yes - you can apply for a second vehicle.
It would be subject to the pre rental affordability checks, and your current renting history will be taken into account.
A 5% discount will be applied to a second vehicle.
HOW DO I OFF-HIRE?
Simply give the MySwitch team a call and initiate your notice period. Providing you have met the notice terms outlined on your rental documents, we will work out a pro rata daily rate and refund any unused rental days at the branch.
WHAT DOCUMENTS DO I NEED TO PROVIDE?
For Switch to process an application for a MySwitch vehicle the following identification is required:
Driving Licence: Clear pictures of both the front and back
DVLA Check Code: Obtain from www.gov.uk/view-driving-licence
Most Recent Payslip*
Most Recent Bank Statement: Ensure it shows the salary payment listed on your payslip.
*Self-employed applicants will need to provide evidence from HMRC or an accountant
CAN I RETURN THE VEHICLE TO A DIFFERENT RENTAL BRANCH?
Absolutely when you book an off-hire with the team, we will ask your preferred branch to return the vehicle to. There is no penalty for returning a MySwitch vehicle to a different branch.
